Were you told to "SHUT UP!!!!!!" as a kid? Do you resent your parents for it?

My mom to this day will tell me to shut up.... Although my mother had a very colorful language when we were growing up, so it was more... "would you get your azz over there and shut up dammit?" Lips pursed mean tone.. Lol. It never bothered us.
