Do i need to take an art foundation course??????

I am wanting to take a fashion BA (Hons), but I'm rather confused as to what course I need take. Some unis seem to be asking for very few UCAS points but an art foundation year, whereas others seem to not be too bothered and prefer A-levels. I'm taking 4 a-level, Maths, Furthur Maths, Physics and Textiles/Design. (I know they are a bit of a wierd combonation for Fashion, but its only a recent change, I was going to do architecture)... So anyway... basically I'm asking anyone for some help... maybe you had the same problem as me? any help would be much appriciated!!!!
