Muttiah Muralitharan can be a threat for other teams. For this he will always be a target for those that he is a threat for. If the ICC permits him to bowl nobody can act against it. It is all a verbal war to discredit him, to put him off his game. The Aussies did it with Johan Botha from South Africa. He is still playing and is currently the South African captain while Graeme Smith is sidelined for tennis elbow. That is unfortunately how the modern game is played.
