OK I know this sounds stupid, but I tried sniffing the scent from a burning candle accidently inhaled ........?

the flame up my right nostril, I could hear this crackling noise (like hair singing), I went to check my nostrils in the mirror but they (and their hairs) looked fine. I now have this weird feeling up the right side of my nose (like about 10cm from the nostril opening). What could have happened? Have I somehow singed hair that far up? Should I see a doctor ASAP?
