My wife doesn't want to support my dream of becoming a professional rapper?

As a child I watched Ice Cube and Puff Daddy on tv and I always wanted to rhyme profanities and engage in misogynistic activities just like they do in their music videos. I'm 27 now and even though I make a good living as a insurance broker I have never let go of my dream of one day being a rapper. I have a good amount of cash set aside from a settlement involving a car accident and I want to use it to release my album I've been working on that i've titled "C is fo' Suckaz". I spoke to my wife about it last night and she wasn't having any of it. Something about our kids college fund and paying the mortgage and some other nonsense, but why is she being to narrow-minded about the idea? They'll be playing my cd in every club in California because it's that good. Besides it's my money so why is she frontin'? Should I forget her and pursue my childhood dream?
