How can I send a flyer via email but not as an attachment?

I am trying to get the flyer to show up in the body of the email and not as a seperate attachment that the receiver will have to open. I know this can be done (I've gotten newsletters, invoices, etc.) but I just don't know how to do it when I am the sender. Please be as detailed as possible with your answers - I really appreciate it!
